Serendipity Blackmagic / Megarip / Veripress users running a software installation in Rosetta mode on Mac systems should not upgrade the operating system past macOS 27.
From macOS 28 (Q3 2027), any Intel-only printer and spectrophotometer drivers will no longer be accessible by Serendipity products.
Running Serendipity Blackmagic / Megarip / Veripress in Rosetta (Intel) mode after upgrading to macOS 27 Golden Gate
After upgrading to macOS 27, all Serendipity server and client programs will be reverted to running in Apple silicon mode. As such, users running the software may notice that certain printer and spectrophotometer drivers are missing.
To regain driver access, first shut down your software, then switch it back into Rosetta mode, by following the instructions here.
NOTE - macOS 27 uninstalls Rosetta from your Mac system by default. After turning on Rosetta mode you will be prompted to download and install Rosetta again.
